Give thanks for Malcolm and Fay our new churchwardens; and Jenny Sharpe who is new to PCC, and they settle into their ministries. The first meeting of the new PCC is on Monday 11th, and the Wardens will be sworn in at the Archdeaconry Visitation service on May 13th. Our Annual Church Meeting is coming up this Sunday. Please pray for the right people to come forward and be nominated as Churchwardens and PCC members. At present there is one nomination for Churchwarden, and one other person is considering offering themselves. When Ifi left for Australia, we wondered who the next person would be that God would bring to our church house. We now know! Anna Robinson will be joining us for a few weeks in April, and from the beginning of May we welcome back Ash Stephenson with his new wife, Emily. Ash, a professional musician stayed with us in 2014 playing a valuable role in our band, and with Youth Church. It is great to welcome them back. Do pray for Anna, Ash and Emily, as they settle in and find their ministries, along with Jessie & Christian, who already live there. If was great having Ifiok Otung as part of our church. He is such a positive person and made a real contribution to our Youth Church and Friday Group in the short time he was living in the church house. It was no wonder his work promoted him, but our loss that it meant relocating to Melbourne, Australia. An advert has been placed on Christianflatshare and it did seem that someone was going to move in, but this fell through. So please pray that Ifi will continue to be a blessing to others wherever he is, and that the right person to replace him will contact us. We were all sad to say goodbye to Mr Cluto, at Holy Trinity School, and for some time, his Y5 class seemed to be wearing out supply teachers as quickly as they could arrive. The situation caused stress to parents, staff, governors and church members alike – a great class was becoming unsettled and failing to reach their potential. Praise God, then, for the recent appointment of Miss Kenton who is finding her feet quickly and getting the class back into shape.
